Thank you very much for your interest in participating in our wellbeing program!

Our goal is to create a program to build psychological wellbeing among older adults. Participants will take part in one of two programs, which will consist of 6 weekly sessions conducted over the phone, and will involve completing some questionnaires on wellbeing, emotions and activity engagement both before and after program completion. If you are eligible, we will contact you and provide more detailed information to allow you to decide if you want to take part.

We believe that these programs will be most beneficial to people who feel they could be getting more out of life. Therefore, if you are interested in taking part, we will ask you to indicate your level of agreement with six statements that refer to peoples’ beliefs about how engaged they are with life (e.g., “There is not enough purpose in my life”, “To me, the things I do are all worthwhile”). Please note that your responses to these statements will be strictly confidential and only accessible by our research team. If the questions raise any concerns for you, you may wish to contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 for confidential support. Information about mental health and other sources of support is available from Beyond Blue: https://www.beyondblue.org.au/. You can access the information on this page at any time by clicking on the link that you used to access this survey.

Your responses to these statements will determine whether you are likely to benefit from our programs. If you are eligible to participate, you will be asked to provide your contact details, and one of our research team will reach out to you to provide more information about the study.

Again, thank you very much for your interest in our program.

Kind regards, A/Prof Tim Windsor
