Introduction to the research

You are invited to take part in this study. This study will investigate the prevalence of burnout among health professionals providing palliative care in Australia and will explore the factors or determinants that are associated with burnout.

Burnout has been found to be detrimental to the personal and professional quality of life of care providers as well as care recipients. Burnout has been found to be more prevalent in the healthcare sectors where patient mortality rates are high and palliative care is an example. The findings of this study can be helpful to healthcare providers and managers to be aware of the issue, recognise it and take appropriate steps to prevent or tackle it.

In this study, you are invited to complete this short online survey. It will take less than half an hours to complete it. The survey has two parts: first part contains demographic questions and the second part contains Maslach Burnout Inventory.
