Privacy Statement Australia operates under the Privacy Amendment Act 2012 with significant changes in March 2014. Shape the Future of AI in Education Conference complies with this legislation which is designed to protect the rights of the individual to privacy of their information. Information collected in respect of proposed participation in any aspect of the event will be only used for the purposes of planning and conduct of the event.
It is also usual to produce a ‘Delegate list’ of attendees at the event and to include the following details: your name, position title, company and state. While your personal contact details such as email address and phone number will not be published.

- TED-style presentations are meant to be engaging, inspirational, and concise, focusing on one unique aspect or idea. The presentation will be 10 minutes followed by 5 minutes of Q&A.
- Roundtable discussions should propose thought-provoking questions or themes that can generate interactive discussions among participants. Roundtables will also run for 15 minutes
- Workshops are longer (1/2 hour) interactive sessions where attendees can participate in active discussions and activities.

We invite you to submit a maximum of 500-word extended abstract on one of our 16 conference themes. Your abstract should propose a talk for a TED-style presentation or a topic for a round table discussion. It will be a 10-minute presentation followed by 5 minutes Q&A. Please note that all abstracts will undergo a peer review process.
Please adhere to the following guidelines:
• Content: Your abstract should clearly articulate the main argument or discussion point, and briefly outline the supporting evidence or key points. It should also explain the relevance to the selected conference theme and the broader field of AI in education.
• Format: The abstract should be written in a non-specialist style, accessible to a diverse audience.
• Structure: Your TED-style presentation or roundtable abstract should include an introduction to the topic, a brief outline of the key points or arguments, and a summary of the conclusions or questions for discussion. Your workshop abstract should also include the objectives of the workshop, outline of the workshop activities and target audience. Please add 2-5 key words.
• Biography: Please also include a brief biography of all authors (50-100 words, word count not included in abstract) with your submission, describing your current position, research interests or professional activities, and any previous experience relevant to your proposed presentation or discussion.
• Language: All abstracts must be written in English. Please proofread carefully for grammar and spelling.
• Originality: All abstracts should represent original work. Any references to others' work must be properly cited.
• Submission: Submit your abstract below by the submission deadline. If you are submitting two abstracts, please submit under Abstract 2. There is a limit of 2 presentations per attendee.

• Copyright Agreement
By submitting your paper or workshop proposal to the AI in Education Conference, you and all co-authors, if any, agree to the following terms:
1. The work submitted is original, and you affirm that you hold the copyright to the work. The work has not been published elsewhere nor is it currently under consideration for publication at another venue.
2. You grant the AI in Education Conference a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to reproduce, distribute, display, and perform the work in connection with the Conference. This includes the right to use the work in print and electronic format for conference materials, publicity, and related uses, such as conference proceedings or promotional materials. 3. The license granted to the AI in Education Conference does not affect your rights as the copyright holder of the work. You retain all other rights to the work and are free to publish and distribute it as you see fit, provided you acknowledge its initial presentation at the AI in Education Conference.
4. By submitting your work, you also affirm that the work does not infringe upon anyone else's copyright, and that the necessary permissions have been obtained for any third-party material included in the work.
• Data Privacy Agreement (Checkbox) By submitting your paper, roundtable or workshop proposal to the AI in Education Conference, you consent to the following terms:
1. You acknowledge and agree that the conference organisers will collect and store the personal data provided in your submission, which may include your name, affiliation, contact information, and any other information provided in your submission (your "Personal Information").
2. Your Personal Information will be used solely for the purposes of reviewing and processing your submission, communicating with you regarding your submission and participation in the conference, and administering the conference.
3. Your Personal Information will be stored and processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the Australian Privacy Act 1988.
4. Your Personal Information will not be disclosed to third parties without your explicit consent, except as required by law or as necessary for the administration of the conference, such as to conference committee members for the purposes of reviewing your submission.
5. You have the right under data protection laws to request access to, rectification or erasure of, your Personal Information; to data portability; and to object to or request restriction of processing of your Personal Information. Any such requests should be directed to conference chairs.
6. You acknowledge that you are providing your Personal Information voluntarily and that you understand and agree to the terms of this Data Privacy Agreement.
